There is an ongoing dispute concerning the validity of many of the entries in the book by Ms. Jones. As far as my line is concerned, the names and dates have been verified as far back as Joseph Burson in Virginia. As to the original George Burson, this area appears to be in dispute more than others. Concerning this I can state, I DO NOT KNOW. I do know that there is a will for George and the names and dates seem to correctly link to the generations that follow him.

As far as the book is concerned; I have found typos, pages out of order, and incorrect dates. I have made the necessary corrections and additions whenever possible. Information sources, located primarily on the Internet, are being used to verify or correct questionable entries. Whenver possible, links to pages with updated or more relevant information are used. You can verify or correct your information accordingly.

The overall content of the book in my opinion is good. The only way the book can be corrected now is through informed discussion and the exchange of information. Corrections to the page, links, ideas, photos, and what-ifs are always appreciated. If you have any information please share it.

Ms. Jones took on a big task. Because of her, many like myself, have a better understanding of where we came from and who we came from.
